custom birthday parties, adventure days, camps and endless fun!
Giggles and Grass Stains first began in 2009 as a creative learning program in West Hollywood. With the help of a magical frog named Mr. Charlesworth and league of goofy characters like Eve Hollow, Mrs. Shushchuch and Art Rithmetic, Sue taught preschool aged children the joy of learning through the magic of childhood. Giggles and Grass Stains closed in January 2017 when Sue gave birth to her own little one. Now Giggles and Grass Stains is opening its doors, heart and imagination once again to bring you birthday parties, adventure days, camp and a whole boatload of fun!
Sue Bell’s passion for imagination, curiosity and education has led her on many amazing adventures. Originally hailing from Canada, Sue has taught all over the world including China, where she created an international curriculum that marries the importance of education with the excitement and wonderment of being a child.
Sue brought this same philosophy when she moved to LA in 2008 and started her preschool, Giggles and Grass Stains, which ran successfully until its closing 10 years later, when Sue became a mom.
Sue spent 15 magical years as Fairy Camp LA's co-owner and its at home division, Fairy Camp at Home. She is so proud of what was created during those years, yet as the business grew, she longed for the connections and bonds that came out of a smaller crew of little pals, and thus decided to go back to her roots and relaunch Giggles and Grass Stains; a business that celebrates each other, our community and nature.
When Sue isn’t imagining and exploring with her students and campers, you can find her either skiing, surfing, hiking or playing with her awesome family in Cedarpines Park, CA.
